Salish Grounds

REGION: NORTHWEST COAST
INGREDIENTS: COFFEE

Salish Grounds is based in the traditional territory of the Coast Salish Squaxin Island people in the Pacific Northwest. Their indigenous, women-owned, coffee brand offers a high-quality local roast for all of your coffee needs. As members of the Squaxin Island Tribe, they were raised with a rich understanding of history and a deep appreciation of tribal culture. As indigenous women of the Pacific Northwest, coffee is central to who they are. They grew up fishing with their parents in the Salish Sea. All of their products draw on the inspiration of their ancestral places and teachings.

Eighth Generation

Eighth Generation is a Seattle-based art and lifestyle brand owned by the Snoqualmie Tribe. It was founded in 2008 when Louie Gong (Nooksack)—an artist, activist and educator widely known for merging traditional Coast Salish art with influences from his urban environment to make strong statements about identity—started customizing shoes in his living room.

Eighth Generation provides a strong, ethical alternative to “Native-inspired” art and products through its artist-centric approach and 100% Native designed products. Sakari Farms

REGION: NORTHWEST COAST
INGREDIENTS: TEAS & MEDICINES

Sakari Farms is located in Tumalo, just West of Bend, the heart of Central Oregon. Their farm also houses a unique NW Tribal Seed Bank dedicated to regional and national Tribal Members. Sakari Farms is unique in that they grow Native American Tribal Foods, offer on-farm Technical Assistance through on-farm classes, and implement research based tribal seed production, contract and wholesale growing. Their farm implements organic and biodynamic growing practices and holds the Intertribal Agricultural Council’s “Made by Native American” patent certification.

Navajo Nation

Pueblo Store

REGION: SOUTHWEST
INGREDIENTS: BLUE CORN

In 1976, the 19 Pueblo tribes of New Mexico opened the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center to share the history, art, and culture of our Pueblo communities. For over 40 years, they’ve showcased artwork from Pueblo and Southwestern Native artists – not only in our exhibits but also in our store, providing an opportunity for our guests to take a piece of art or souvenir home. Our partners include both renowned, award-winning artists and emerging talent that highlight the artistic traditions and craftsmanship of the Pueblo people.

Ramona Farms

REGION: SOUTHWEST
INGREDIENTS: TEPARY BEANS

Ramona’s American Indian Foods, LLC is a Native American (Akimel O’Odham) business. Family owned, they have been farming land and traditional foods in Sacaton, Arizona for over forty years.

The tepary bean has been handed down for countless generations amongst Akimel O’Odham people (River People, Pima) and their cousins the Tohono O’Odham (Desert People). The bavi is high in soluble fiber and protein and is a low glycemic index food.

Cheyenne River Sioux

REGION: PLAINS
INGREDIENTS: BISON

West Side Meats was purchased in 1982 from Edwin "Schmo" Schilling by the Carla Lang family. They built it into a successful local business in Mobridge, South Dakota, and throughout the region. West Side became widely known for their jerky and began to ship it all over the United States. They take great pride in their ability to locally source as many products as we can, and feel it is apparent in the quality of the goods they produce. In February of 2021, the Lang brothers made the decision to sell West Side Meats Inc. to the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Buffalo Authority Corporation and they are running it today, carrying on the quality standards and great products Carla made the West Side name famous for.

Red Lake Nation

REGION: NORTHEAST
INGREDIENTS: WILD RICE

The great Red Lake Nation is the ONLY American Indian tribe in the U.S. that grows & harvests our own wild rice (MN Cultivated) on local lands. From their reservation in northern Minnesota, they pack, label & ship wild rice to many countries. They expanded their natural foods line with unique hand harvested wild fruit jellies, jams & syrups, handcrafted gift items, all natural batter mixes, popcorn & herbal tea. Red Lake Nation Foods is a member of the Intertribal Agriculture Council, and bear the “Made/Produced by American Indians” trademark on our products.

Passamaquoddy Maple

REGION: NORTHEAST
INGREDIENTS: MAPLE SYRUP

Harvesting Maple Syrup reaches far back to Passamaquoddy’s early ancestral roots. While their methods have evolved, the desire for the Passamaquoddy people to be with nature has not. They are 100% tribally owned, with a mission to produce a high-end, small batch, product that will not only sustains their tribal land, but also create jobs for their people.
